Privacy Policy
What data this site does and does not collect, how on-site search works, and which areas the publisher must review before adding third-party tools.
This site is published as static files. It ships without analytics, advertising pixels, account systems, comment systems, or a connected newsletter processor.
What we collect
Nothing directly. There is no form that submits to us, no login, no cart, and no tracking script.
What the infrastructure records
A deployed site still receives ordinary infrastructure request logs from its hosting provider: the resource requested, a timestamp, an IP address, and a user agent string. This is inherent to serving a web page rather than a decision made here, and retention is governed by the hosting provider’s own policy.
On-site search
Search runs entirely in your browser against a static JSON index downloaded with the page. Queries are not transmitted to an application server and are not logged by us. Hosting logs will record the request for the search page and for the index file, as they would for any other file.
If you write to the editorial address, we hold that message and your address for as long as needed to deal with it and to keep a record of any correction that resulted. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list.
Third parties
The site loads no third-party scripts, no embedded media, no advertising and no consent-management tooling. Fonts are self-hosted rather than fetched from a font service, which means no third party receives a request when you load a page.
Outbound links to sources are ordinary links. Following one takes you to a site with its own policy, which we do not control.
Before adding third-party tools
Any addition of analytics, embedded media, forms, advertising or consent tooling changes what this page must disclose, and in some jurisdictions changes what consent is required before it runs. This policy is reviewed alongside any such change, and the date above reflects the last such review.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data beyond correspondence you choose to send, most access and deletion requests resolve to email we hold. Write to the editorial address and we will tell you what we have and remove it on request.

Frequently asked questions
Does this site use cookies?
It sets none of its own. The site is static, has no accounts, and runs no analytics or advertising scripts, so there is nothing for a cookie to carry.
Are my searches recorded?
Not by us. On-site search runs entirely in your browser against a static index file. The query is never sent to a server, although the hosting provider records the request for the index file itself.
What does the hosting provider see?
Ordinary web server request data — the pages requested, timestamps, an IP address, and a user agent string. That is a function of how the web works rather than a choice this site makes, and it is retained under the provider's own policy.
